Election Governor of West Kalimantan 2008-2013 period conducted in November 2007. In this election, Golkar and PDI-P cadre automatically to nominate as a candidate for Governor of West Kalimantan since passing 15% of the total vote election results 2004. Golkar proposed partner with LH Kadir Usman Jafar, while the PDI-P candidates are Drs. Cornelis, MH (DPD PDIP Chairman of West Kalimantan was also Regent of hedgehog). Coalition of the Democratic Party filed Usman Sapta / Ignatius Liong, and non-parliamentary parties filed Akil Mochtar / AR Mecer. Of the four candidates mentioned above the Governor of West Kalimantan, only one (1) of the Dayak ethnic namely Drs. Cornelis, MH.

On 14 January 2008, has been appointed Drs Cornelis MH and Christiandy Sanjaya as Governor and Deputy Governor of West Kalimantan West Kalimantan 2008-2013 period.
